From Flack Fairy to AI: Beck Bamberger Gets Real

Beck and I unpack what’s changed and what hasn't in PR, VC and AI

I had a blast chatting with Beck Bamberger for this episode of The Venture Variety Show, even if I did fumble my Latin stoic phrases along the way.

Beck is the author of the new book Flack Fairy, an easy, engaging read that offers a practical look at media relations and what it takes to craft a plan that actually attracts funding. She’s also a marketing agency founder and one of the most candid voices in the venture marketing world.

In this episode, we covered:
🔶 Her advice for founders navigating media
🔶 The state of VC and what’s ahead
🔶 And, of course, we talked about how AI is reshaping PR, marketing and storytelling itself

That last piece ties directly into a thread I’ve been exploring a lot lately across this newsletter (The Venture Lens), this podcast, and my newer show, The AI Cognitive Shift, which I launched last month in collaboration with AiNews.com. The theme is simple but huge: AI isn’t just impacting frontline workers or coders. It’s changing the game for knowledge workers, creatives, and leadership roles too.

I’m grateful Beck made time to dig into these themes with me. Give it a listen and let me know what stood out!
